Mobile Phone Number Sync Corrected for International Formats
Contacts
An issue was resolved where Bullhorn Automation incorrectly stripped the first digit from 11-digit German mobile phone numbers during Candidate and Contact record syncs, which caused invalid stored numbers and bounced text messages.
What This Fix Means:
Bullhorn Automation now correctly preserves all digits when syncing mobile phone numbers that include country code prefixes (such as +49 for Germany) and contain 11 digits total. Previously, the system removed the first digit of the subscriber number, rendering the stored number invalid.
This fix ensures:
-
SMS messages are delivered successfully to international candidates
-
Phone numbers remain accurate and complete in your system
-
Candidates are no longer incorrectly flagged as opted out due to delivery failures
-
Data integrity is maintained across international candidate pools
This correction improves SMS communication workflows and candidate engagement, particularly for staffing agencies operating in Germany and other markets where 11-digit mobile numbers are standard.
